Belgium: Pro-Palestinian protest held outside Israeli embassy in Brussels against occupation
BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - MAY 15, 2025: Pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered outside the Israeli Embassy in Brussels on Thursday, May 15, to protest Israel on the 77th anniversary of the Nakba, marking May 14, 1948 — the day Israel declared its independence on occupied Palestinian land, forcing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians into exile The protest marked the 77th anniversary of the Nakba, with participants condemning Israel’s occupation of Palestine and calling for justice and the right of return for Palestinian refugees. Demonstrators, including Jewish activists, held Palestinian flags and placards demanding an end to Israeli aggression and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, while also urging the international community to take action. Palestinians mark on May 15 the 77th anniversary of their expulsion from their towns in historical Palestine after Israel’s creation in 1948.
