Truck rolls back, woman survives horrific crash by inches in Kerala, South India
On 15 May Wednesday Kozhikode, Kerala A woman on a scooter had a miraculous escape after a truck moving in front of her lost control on an incline, rolled backwards and knocked down her vehicle.
Though the impact of the accident threw Ozhayadi native Ashwathi onto the road, she escaped by a whisker as the truck moved backward just inches away from her. The accident was captured by a nearby CCTV camera.
The accident happened on the uphill stretch of the road from Peringalam town to Kozhikode medical college near CWRDM at 7.30am.
The truck laden with hollow bricks, heading towards the medical college, came to a halt on the slope and began rolling backward without warning. It then hit Ashwathi's scooter following which she fell onto the middle of the road. The truck finally stopped after hitting a roadside tree. On hearing the noise, residents rushed to the spot and took the woman to a hospital.
Police has invested then action this driver.
