US, Phoenix: Glendale 56th Drive House Fire

Phoenix, United States - May 15, 2025 05/15/2025 05:10 am GMT-0700 Glendale, Ariz. – Peoria and Glendale Fire Department crews responded to reports of a house fire near 56th Drive and Purdue Avenue shortly after 5:00 a.m. Crews arrived to find a large exterior fire extending to a single-story residential home. Crews deployed multiple hose lines and made entry into the side yard for fire attack. As crews worked to extinguish the exterior flames, additional firefighters entered the home. Once inside the home, crews found heavy smoke and an active fire. Ladder crews made their way to the roof and cut holes for ventilation as interior crews worked to extinguish the fire. Per fire officials at the scene, at least one person has been displaced as a result of the fire. The resident was able to safely evacuate prior to the arrival of firefighters. No injuries have been reported, and the Glendale FD investigator is working to determine the cause of the fire.
