French hikers stranded in hailstorm are rescued from Spanish mountain
This is the dramatic moment four French hikers stranded in a hailstorm were rescued from a mountain in Spain.
The tourists were descending down Pico Descargador when they were battered by the severe weather on May 14.
They called emergency services to ask for help, and a rescue helicopter was dispatched to their coordinates 2,300 metres (7,500 feet) above sea level.
Footage shows the aircraft from the Huesca Air Unit forging through the hailstorm. The rescue team found the hikers struggling across the thick snow.
Authorities said the group were returned to a helipad in Torla with no injuries.
