Los Angeles, United States - May 16, 2025 05/16/2025 02:45 am GMT-0700 VERMONT VISTA, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – California Highway Patrol was in pursuit of a white Chevrolet SUV for unknown reasons, beginning in the Redondo Beach area. Redondo Beach Police Department handed off the pursuit to CHP when the chase moved into South Los Angeles. The suspect drove up and down the southbound 110 Freeway, as well as east and west on the 10 Freeway, before heading south on the 110. As the suspect approached Imperial Highway, he lost control of the vehicle and struck the center divider, causing the SUV to roll over. Following the crash, two males exited the wreckage and fled on foot. The driver was apprehended without incident. The passenger attempted to hide in a bush but was taken into custody after being tased by CHP officers. The Los Angeles Fire Department was requested to assess both suspects, although it remains unclear if they sustained any injuries in the crash.
