US, Los Angeles: Santa Clarita Mountain Lion Roaming Neighborhood With Sound On Tape
Los Angeles, United States - May 16, 2025 05/16/2025 01:17 pm GMT-0700 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – A mountain lion was seen roaming a Santa Clarita neighborhood Friday afternoon. Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies received several 911 calls reporting a mountain lion taking a stroll on a pedestrian bridge in the South Valencia community near Cortina Drive and Gravino Road. Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Station sealed off the area and requested that the California Department of Fish and Wildlife respond and relocate the large animal. Several people flocked to the area to catch a glimpse of the big cat perched in a tree near an elementary school and a community pool.
