VARIOUS OF PROTESTERS PLACING BANNERS AND UKRAINIAN FLAGS ON THEIR CARS, FORMING CONVOY TO HONOR AZOVSTAL FIGHTERSLVIV, UKRAINE - MAY 17: On Saturday, May 17, Ukrainians gathered in the western city of Lviv with a vehicle convoy that traversed the city to honor fallen soldiers and demand the release of prisoners of war still held in Russian captivity. The event marked the third anniversary of the withdrawal from The Azovstal Iron and Steel Works, which took place between May 16-20, 2022, after Ukrainian forces received orders to preserve their lives and left the besieged steel plant. Hundreds of fighters were captured by Russian forces and remain in detention. Organizers said the rally was held to ensure the world does not forget those still imprisoned and to pay tribute to the lives lost during the defense of Mariupol. Writing by Aleyna Cil
