VISITOR CÜNEYT TALHA TÜRKELİ, SPEAKINGGAZIANTEP, TÜRKİYE - MAY 18, 2025: A 3-month-old bear cub named "Boncuk" is receiving attentive care at the Gaziantep Wildlife Park, Türkiye's largest natural habitat and one of the few in the world The bear cub was recently brought to the park by the Sivas Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks after being found in the wild. At the park, the bear cub was named “Boncuk” by its caretakers and is being raised with the tenderness of maternal affection. The cub is carefully fed with milk and draws significant attention from visitors. Celal Özsöyler, Head of the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality’s Natural Life Protection Department, spoke to Anadolu and said that they are performing general care of the bear cub in the clinic “We conducted examinations of the eyes, mouth, and ears. We feed her milk twice a day—morning and evening—and supplement her diet with eggs and special formula. We will soon introduce fruit as well. We named her ‘Boncuk.’ Our clinic team is fulfilling the role of its mother. They play with it during the day,” he added. Visitor Cüneyt Talha Türkeli, who came from Ordu with his family, said they were happy to see the bear cub.
