Stunt riders are known for taking jaw-dropping risks for the love of their craft, though not all those risks pay off.

"I was filming for a street BMX video and wanted to test ride this ledge," the subject, Riley, told WooGlobe. "Essentially, I wasn't focused enough on the width of the ledge as I had to dodge a curb and a handrail while hopping sideways over a five-foot gap/body of water.

"I landed fine on the ledge until my front wheel suddenly slipped off, causing my front axle/peg to catch on the ledge, launching me violently to the bottom of the fountain."

Riley revealed that he sustained a few shoulder injuries and a concussion in the gnarly fall.

"It was a funny clip, but definitely had me cringing at how much worse it could have been," he added.
