On May 14th, in Yatang Village, Lufeng Town, Xupu County, Hunan Province, an electric tricycle suddenly began emitting thick smoke on the street. The elderly owner panicked and was about to call for help. Amid the billowing smoke, Shu Dan, the female owner of a nearby fireworks shop, heard the commotion and rushed out—barefoot, carrying a fire extinguisher straight toward the source of the fire.

Surveillance footage shows Shu Dan skillfully pulling the safety pin from the extinguisher and directing a precise stream of white powder at the flames. She made multiple trips to retrieve extinguishers and extinguished the fire completely in just 2 minutes and 48 seconds from the moment the danger was spotted.

Afterward, Shu Dan said: "As shop owners, we often receive fire safety training from local fire departments, so we have some ability to respond to fires and prevent small incidents from turning into disasters."
