A pickup truck carrying massive stacks of cardboard toppled over backwards on the way to a warehouse.

Footage shows the extremely overloaded vehicle with its front wheels lifted off the ground as it was unable to support the weight at the back in South Sulawesi, Indonesia.

The driver remained helplessly in his seat while amused coworkers watched him outside.

He revved the engine, hoping the truck would tip forward again but the front end stayed suspended in the air.

Onlooker Muhammad Idris, 25, said: 'His job was hard because he had to carry all that load. It was dangerous.'

An excavator was used to help carry the heavy piles and push the truck back down to all four wheels.

The driver was also assisted on the way up the inclined entrance and offloaded the cargo on May 4.
