A polite tot loves to feed pigeons in the park - but wonders why the animals don't say 'thank you' for the food.

Saoirse O'Brien, two, was feeding the ducks and pigeons seeds in Bishop's park, London on April 28, 2025.

The adorable tot turned to her mum Slaney O'Brien, 35, and said 'they don't you want to say 'thank you'" before turning to the pigeons to ask them to 'say thank you'."

The single mum makes an effort to raise polite, kind, and gentle children and encourages Saoirse and her twin sister Lucia to say 'please' and 'thank you'.

She models the behaviour she'd like to see from them in real life in roll-play games with their dollies.

Slaney posted the cute video on Instagram, where it got over 3.9 million views, and she received hundreds of messages praising her polite children.

Slaney, from Fulham, London, who worked as a life-style manager before having her daughters, said: "It was a lovely moment, and shows me how deeply kindness is a part of her."

"She was so shocked when they didn't say 'thank you', it's just wasn't normal for her."

"I've always grown up with manners and it feels really important to me to model good manners for my twins."

"It really is no effort, and it's so rewarding to make time to be present and engaged with children."

"As parents we have the power to raise polite children if we want to."

"I made it a priority to raise them with kindness, respect, and gratitude."

"The world needs more of those values."

"This is a cute video but also shows that they absorb everything that they experience."

"I think it got so many views and I received so many messages because people across the globe want to see more kindness and politeness in the world too."
