This is the moment a female motorcycle rider allegedly stole money dropped by a tourist in Thailand.

Dashcam footage shows the passenger arriving at the scene, where a female holidaymaker had dropped a wad of cash in the middle of the road in Phuket on May 14.

Several Good Samaritans rushed to collect the money, but the opportunistic woman - who had also violated traffic rules by not wearing a helmet - was seen stuffing it into her driver's hand instead.

When the tourist turned to ask the pair, they appeared to feign ignorance and proceeded to drive away.

A motorist who witnessed the brazen theft said: 'What that woman did has damaged the tourism image of Phuket, and it may affect the confidence of foreigners visiting the island. She thought no one had seen her but I have everything recorded on my dashcam. I will report her to police for legal action.'
