Rapper Konan held back by security during chaotic brawl at Misfits Boxing event
Top rapper Konan had to be held back after becoming involved in a chaotic row at a boxing event, footage shows.
The hitmaker - one half of duo Krept and Konan - was caught up in a fracas at a Misfits event in Derby on Friday (May 16).
Police say officers attended but the incident was dealt with by onsite security.
Konan - real name Karl Dominic Wilson - was said to be part of a group fight which began over an alleged chain snatch.
Video shows the rapper, 35, being restrained by a member of security, before getting up and appearing to argue with another man.
He was then escorted from the Vaillant Live venue, where fans had gathered for fight between ex-MMA fighter Darren Till and Darren Stewart, the onlooker said.
"The rapper was in a headlock after it all," he said. "Somebody tried to snatch somebody's chain. It was four-on-four and it unfolded into a big fight."
The onlooker said the fight had broken out at around 9pm, prior to the main fight.
"They booted him out," he said. "Someone from his group tried to take someone else's chain. Security swiftly tried to intervene."
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary said: "We received reports of an altercation on Colyear Street, Derby, at just before 10.30pm on Friday 16 May. "
"Officers attended but the incident was dealt with by the on-site security team."
Misfits Boxing declined to comment.
Representatives for Konan were approached for comment.
