COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Community Service Officers with the Commerce City Police Department rescued nine ducklings trapped in a sewer Monday morning, drawing attention far beyond Colorado for their heartwarming act.

The officers responded to a call near the Eagle Pointe Recreation Center after a concerned resident noticed a distressed mother duck. Upon arrival, officers found the ducklings stuck beneath a sewer grate. Working quickly, they removed the grate and lifted the ducklings out one by one, reuniting them with their mother.

The wholesome rescue, shared on social media, quickly spread, reminding the world that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
