Info from Licensor: "Rescued her from a pet sitter who said the owner moved away, leaving her homeless. I brought her out of NYC—she’d only ever been indoors—and took her to my parents’ place in the country, where she could choose if she wanted to be an indoor, outdoor, or hybrid cat. I’ve done this with dozens of cats before.

I didn’t take her out of the travel bag until we got there—she seemed too stressed, and I figured keeping her covered was the kinder move. I talked my parents into keeping her since their old cat had passed earlier that year, and they’d recently had a chipmunk waltz into the kitchen.

We were shocked—this was the fattest cat we’d ever seen. She probably lived under the bed, only emerging to eat. We don’t know anything else about her.

She’s always been mean—growling, hissing, biting after a few pets, attacking feet. It was worse at first. But she’s happy now—leaner, loves the outdoors, and turned out to be a great mouser. Honestly, I don’t think she’s being mean in this video… this is her version of affection, which is what makes it so funny.
