US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Three Vehicle Collision Near Shafter Under Investigation
Bakersfield, United States - May 20, 2025 05/20/2025 05:42 am GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Kern County Fire Department, along with the Shafter Police Department and Hall Ambulance, responded to a three-vehicle traffic collision Tuesday morning just north of Zerker Road and 7th Standard Road. A Honda sedan, traveling north on Zerker Road, drifted into oncoming traffic, colliding with a white Toyota sedan and a gray Acura sedan. Emergency responders extricated the male driver of the Honda from his vehicle. He was transported by Hall Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. The Shafter Police Department was investigating the scene. It is currently unknown whether alcohol was involved; empty bottles were observed at the site of the crash.
