Kind resident saves wild red junglefowl chicks that fell into the drain
A kind resident saved the babies of a mother wild chicken that fell into a drain.
Tuatan noticed an adult red junglefowl frantically going back and forth over the metal cover of a sewer in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand.
The Good Samaritan checked what was wrong and found the chicks trapped below before doing a DIY rescue operation with colleagues.
Footage shows the employees using an excavator to remove the heavy cover.
Tuatan's workmate placed a ladder so he could climb down the hole and extract the juvenile birds one by one.
They saved all six baby red junglefowls and released the family into the forest the next day.
She said: 'They are wild chickens. My friends and I kept them for the night, and we returned them to the jungle in the morning.'
