Driver and passengers trapped in submerged truck rescued
A driver and his passengers who were trapped in a submerged truck when a flash flood hit were rescued by locals.
Footage shows the men crawling out of the lorry and scrambling to safety while the vehicle was being secured by an excavator in Sultan Kudarat, the Philippines.
The water continued to rise as the area was affected by a low-pressure weather system on May 18.
All of those onboard were saved, but they had to leave the truck until the river levels returned to normal.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said a low-pressure area of weather caused heavy rainfall over the Mindanao region earlier this week.
