US, Los Angeles: Pomona Pursuit Crash With Driver Trapped Under Car
Los Angeles, United States - May 21, 2025 05/21/2025 03:06 am GMT-0700 POMONA, Calif. – Pomona police officers were pursuing a vehicle southbound on San Antonio Avenue at East Franklin Avenue. The suspect crashed into a construction zone, causing the car to flip multiple times and eject the driver, who became trapped beneath the vehicle. Two to three other suspects were trapped inside the car. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and used the Jaws of Life to free the driver from underneath the vehicle. A total of three individuals were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The reasons behind the suspect's decision to flee from police are currently unknown. The Pomona Police Department will handle the investigation into the pursuit crash.
