This is the shocking moment a passenger became stuck in the door of a high-speed train in China.

Footage shows the commuter wedged between the sliding doors in Hunan province at Zhuzhou West Railway Station.

Upon seeing this, train staff first tried to push her back inside but quickly called for backup when that failed on May 16.

Moments later, another worker then arrived and pulled the door aside, freeing the traveller safely.

She reportedly did not sustain any injuries from what happened, and the incident did not cause any delays to the train's departure.

Local media reported the woman mistakenly boarded train G1140 from Guangzhou South to Yichang East instead of her intended train G6030 to Changsha South.

Authorities urged travelers to carefully check ticket details before boarding and to seek assistance from staff if on the wrong train.

The railway department said: 'Do not block train doors or force your way on or off, to ensure your safety and smooth train operation.'
