SHOTLIST: JERUSALEM (MAY 22, 2025) (ANADOLU - ACCESS ALL) 1. WIDE SHOT OF JERUSALEM SETTLEMENTS (AUDIO OF SIRENS) (TWO SHOTS)JERUSALEM - MAY 22: Sirens have been heard in some areas in central Israel, including Jerusalem, on Thursday, May 22, following a missile attack by Yemen’s Houthi group. Houthis announced late Thursday that they had launched a missile attack on Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport in response to the ongoing Israeli offensive and blockade on Gaza. The Israeli military acknowledged the missile launch, stating that air defenses intercepted it before causing damage. Army spokesman Avichay Adraee said the projectile triggered sirens in central Israel but resulted in no casualties. In recent weeks, the Houthi group has stepped up its missile and drone attacks against Israeli targets in response to the Israeli deadly war on Gaza that has left nearly 53,700 people dead. On May 6, US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire agreement with the Houthis brokered by Oman – a move Israeli officials reportedly described as “surprising.” Israel, for its part, has since then carried out several airstrikes targeting vital facilities in Yemen, including the Sanaa airport.
