Black bears Benton and Fern discovered a new favourite pastime playing in sawdust at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park in Eatonville, Washington.

Footage shows Fern performing three full somersaults in the shavings while Benton stretches out, appearing to make snow angels in the wood.

Park staff explained that this enrichment provides mental and physical stimulation while encouraging natural behaviours such as grooming and scent marking.
