The Russian bomb disposal team began detonating thousands of mines across the Luhansk territory.

Authorities have surveyed 9 of the 15 targeted hectares and have destroyed over 230 explosive devices deemed hazardous.

At present, specialists are inspecting a section of railway near the Seversky Donets River.

The area poses challenges due to dense vegetation and a significant number of concealed munitions along the railway line.

Unit commander Magadan stated that the location holds strategic value and is heavily mined with pressure-activated devices intended to target personnel.

The team employs a four-tonne armoured all-terrain robot to assist in the clearance of anti-personnel mines. Following the robot's operation, pyrotechnicians conduct manual inspections to verify the area's safety.

Since the beginning of the year, Russian Emergency Services have reportedly defused approximately 9,000 explosive devices nationwide.
