Resident shocked to find massive python curled up in toilet bowl
A resident was horrified to find a massive python curled up in his toilet bowl.
Tattam Hannarong was visiting the bathroom when he saw the huge reptile nestled inside the loo in Bangkok, Thailand.
Footage shows the 10ft serpent soaking in the water as it lounged against the ceramic surface at around 4 am on Thursday morning.
Shocked Tattam called emergency services, who sent reptile handlers to fish out the python. They placed the beast in a sack and later released it into its natural habitat.
Tattam said: 'I would like to thank the rescue workers who came to catch the snake. They responded quickly, even though it was 4 am. If it weren't for them, I really wouldn't know what to do.
'I own a dog, and it's good that I was the one who found the python first. If I had woken up later in the morning, it could have attacked my pet.'
On February 5, a terrified family called pest catchers after a 10ft python emerged from their toilet in Samut Songkhram.
Reptile handlers had to dismantle the toilet seat to remove the reptile that was stuck in the plumbing.
Snakes, including pythons, can sometimes enter buildings through gaps in drainage systems, including toilets. They may pass through if a pipe system is improperly sealed or maintained.
Bangkok has a population of more than 10 million resident and experts believe there are almost as many snakes in the city.
