Pupils sing the Philippines' national anthem for school event in New Zealand
Schoolkids sang the Philippines' national anthem for Filipino language week in New Zealand.
Footage shows the youngsters and teachers gathered at the school grounds where Lupang Hinirang was playing from a speaker in Auckland.
Everyone was facing the pole where the tropical country's flag was being raised.
The event was aimed at celebrating other cultural heritages on May 22.
Parent Michael Lopez said: 'Lupang Hinirang was sung at a primary school in New Zealand as part of Filipino language week.'
The Filipino community is one of the fastest-growing ethnic groups in New Zealand. They mostly live in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, often working in sectors like healthcare, engineering, construction, and hospitality.
