Los Angeles, United States - May 22, 2025 05/22/2025 03:45 am GMT-0700 SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Location of incident: 10256 Sample Street, San Diego, California. Six passengers died aboard a 1985 Cessna 550 Citation, and multiple people were injured after the aircraft crashed into a home and damaged around 10 homes, several vehicles, and displaced about 100 people in a military housing community Thursday morning around 3:45 a.m. San Diego Fire Rescue, San Diego Police Department, National Transportation Safety Board, CalFire and U.S Navy Security Forces were staged in the area. One block away from the crash was a power pole knocked down with power lines and debris from the plane.A pool for decontamination was set up in the area for those who had contact with the jet fuel. Observation from the crash scene is quiet, the odor from the jet fuel is strong, and neighbors declined to be interviewed on camera or answer any questions. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
