Thai police helicopter crash kills three onboard
Footage shows the burning wreckage of a Thai police helicopter that crashed, killing three onboard today.
The chopper experienced difficulties before plunging to the ground and bursing into flames in Prauchup Kiri Khan province, some 180 miles south of the capital Bangkok, at around 1 pm local time.
One of those onboard parachuted to safety while the two pilots and a mechanic were engulfed in the fireball.
Officials said the aircraft was a Bell 212 helicopter from the Kanchanaburi Police Aviation Unit.
It comes four weeks after a police plane crashed into the sea in the same region, killing six onboard, on April 25.
