BERLIN GERMANY - MAY 24, 2025: Hundreds of protesters gathered in Germany's capital, Berlin, on Saturday, May 24, to protest ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip. The protesters chanted slogans such as “Freedom for Palestine,” “Germany funds, Israel bombs,” “Israel is a terrorist state,” and “Stop the genocide.” In speeches delivered during the demonstration, speakers emphasized that no one and no state has the right to deprive an entire people of their rights, to expel them, or to kill them. Some German citizens of Jewish origin also participated in the protest. Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a genocidal war against Gaza since October 2023, killing more than 53,900 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
