Kangaroo refuses to release visitor's hand in Australia
This is the amusing moment a kangaroo refused to release a visitor's hand.
Holidaymaker Napawan Kotapech was feeding the joey when it suddenly clung to her food-filled hand at Phillip Island in Victoria, Australia.
Footage shows the roo munching on the snack while the tourist crouched on the ground with her hand extended toward the animal on April 18.
She can be seen glancing at the camera, laughing at the unexpected behaviour.
Napawan said: 'The kangaroo eventually let go after he ate all the food. It was a fun encounter.'
Regular feeding by tourists can encourage kangaroos to associate humans with food, causing them to beg or follow visitors persistently.
Australian wildlife authorities and national park services strongly discourage feeding wild kangaroos.
Experts said that feeding kangaroos can disrupt their natural behaviors, potentially leading to aggression, poor nutrition, and dependence on humans for food.
