A horrific accident was caught on CCTV in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit district on May 24, 2025, after the reckless driving of a mini passenger vehicle (Magic) nearly led to a major tragedy.

The incident occurred on a highway under the jurisdiction of Barkhera police station. The Magic vehicle was ferrying passengers when it reached Jyorah Kalyanpur, where a waiting passenger signaled for a stop. Shockingly, the driver halted the vehicle abruptly in the middle of the road without pulling over.

A DCM truck loaded with goods was trailing behind and couldn’t brake in time, resulting in a side collision with the stationary Magic. The impact pushed the Magic into the opposite lane, where it crashed into an oncoming motorcycle.

Passengers in the Magic leapt out in panic, narrowly escaping harm. The biker was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital by bystanders.

Eyewitnesses tried to stop the DCM driver, but he fled the scene. Police from the Jironya outpost were alerted and set up barricades to apprehend the truck driver. Authorities confirmed receiving a written complaint from the Magic driver, and an investigation is underway. Officials assured that action will be taken against those found responsible.
