A crow was caught stealing spicy crisps from a shopkeeper in Turkey.

Footage shows the cheeky black bird perched on a display rack, grabbing the packet of snack from a supermarket in Sancaktepe, Istanbul.

Upon spotting the animal, the store owner warned the avian that the crisps were 'too spicy' for its own good on May 18.

However, the bird still took the item outside the store and flew away, landing on a nearby rooftop.

As it prepared to move off, the man could be heard saying: 'Take whichever one you like, it's on me. But don't take the very spicy one — it'll burn you.'

The crow ignored his advice and settled onto the roofing, where another crow appeared to be waiting for it to open the food.

Crows are known for their intelligence and opportunistic behaviour.

In urban areas, they often scavenge for human food, opening containers, unzipping bags, and even working in pairs to distract people while taking snacks.
