A violent microburst flipped planes at San Marcos Airport in Texas.

Footage shows at least four aircraft parked on the tarmac when intense winds suddenly struck the area on Tuesday, May 20.

Local media reported that the violent storm overturned two small single-engine planes and damaged several hangars.

No injuries were reported following the freak weather event.

The storm hit just after 7 pm, with a nearby wind sensor recording a gust of up to 61 mph and sustained winds of 52 mph.

The National Weather Service also mentioned that the storm produced a microburst with powerful straight-line winds.

A microburst is a sudden, intense downdraft of air within a thunderstorm that spreads outward upon hitting the ground, often causing significant damage similar to that of a tornado, but without the rotation.
