A pet skunk joined a water splashing street party during the Songkran festival in Thailand.

Footage shows the albino mammal named Longkong with a toy water gun strapped on its back in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 15.

Longkong was taken by his owner, Natnaree Karin, outside the family home where they sprayed water onto people.

The exotic pet clung onto Natnaree's arm, who was riding pillion with her friend as they explored the city during the celebration.

Natnaree said: 'My Longkong joined the fun festival with us. My skunk is very cute.'

Songkran is the traditional Thai New Year festival, celebrated annually. It is one of the most important holidays in Thailand, known for its nationwide water fights where people splash water on each other to symbolise cleansing and renewal.
