Developed by British energy company Contour Global, the facility integrates 452,000 solar panels with 267 battery modules, allowing it to deliver 200 megawatts of power for up to 6.2 hours after sunset. With a total storage capacity of 1.2 gigawatt-hours, the project can supply electricity to approximately 122,000 households. The plant marks a significant milestone in Chile’s energy transition, contributing to grid stability by enabling the supply of solar energy during nighttime hours.
