US Coast Guard Cutter arrives in LA for Fleet Week
A US Coast Guard Cutter Eagle (WIX 327) arrived in Los Angeles for Fleet Week.
The vessel sailed into port on May 21 for the 8th annual sea service celebration.
Los Angeles Fleet Week offers the public a rare opportunity to witness modern maritime capabilities up close.
Authorities stated that nearly 1,000 sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen participated in the event.
Service members will display equipment, interact with the public, and participate in community outreach activities.
Fleet Week is a tradition in which active military ships dock in major cities for public tours and community events, allowing civilians to engage with service members and learn about naval operations.
