This is the impressive moment a young girl reeled in a large fish using her toy fishing rod.

Princess Lin Xiner was fishing with her family when she suddenly felt a tug on her tiny rod while at a river in Jiangxi, China.

Footage shows the determined youngster gripping the yellow pole upright as the fish thrashes in the water, trying to break free on May 18.

Her sister can be seen rushing to assist with a net in hand, attempting to help secure the catch.

Unable to scoop it up at first, the older sibling took over the rod and began hoisting the line in, carefully guiding the fish to the surface.

She then lowered the mesh net just in time to lift out the wriggling carp, successfully landing the fish onto the bank.
