Phoenix, United States - May 25, 2025 05/25/2025 12:42 am GMT-0700 TEMPE, Ariz. – Department of Public Safety troopers responded to the I-10 westbound at the US-60 exit ramp to reports of a traffic collision involving a semi truck. When troopers arrived, they located a semi truck fully engulfed in flames that had collided with the crash attenuator at the start of the US-60 exit ramp. The force of the collision caused the semi truck to roll onto the barrier wall. Firefighters from Phoenix, Tempe and Guadalupe responded to the scene and began fighting the fire. According to DPS, the occupants of the semi truck were able to escape the semi without injury. All lanes of I-10 westbound were closed at Baseline Road, and traffic was forced to exit the interstate. The closures were expected to be extended due to the amount of debris caused by the collision.
