Thai swingers arrested for 'posting their videos online' as cops crack down on porn in Thailand
Swinger couples were arrested for allegedly selling their sex videos online.
The polyamorous porn creators were said to have run private channels where they would post their explicit videos for a monthly subscription fee.
Police learned of their activities after they published teaser clips on Elon Musk's free speech platform X.
But officers in Thailand were not as liberal as the tech tycoon and raided a home in Buriram province, where they arrested Chatlada and her husband Nattawat, both 32, on May 23.
Police Colonel Sarawut Chantawong, superintendent of Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division 3, said the couple had a 'cuckold relationship' and would regularly hire men to feature in their videos.
He said: 'The wife was a nurse from a well-known hospital in the province, and her husband would recruit men for her to have sex with. When she had picked a partner, he would then film them having sexual relations and announce it on X to invite people to join their private channel.'
The couple charged 300 to 500 baht (9 to 15 USD) monthly for access, and reportedly earned around 200,000 baht (6,140 USD) a year from the swinging side hustle.
Two other swinger couples, named by police as Pawarisa, 26, Rannakan, 27, Sutthida, 26, and Chatchawan, 41, were arrested across northeast Thailand for also publishing adult content.
Police said the suspects' illegal videos had collectively generated more than 10 million baht (307,000 USD) in revenue.
They will be charged for 'jointly producing obscene materials for commercial purposes or trade, for distribution or public display, including production, possession, importation or facilitating importation into the Kingdom, and exportation or facilitating exportation outside the Kingdom'.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Division said it also arrested three alleged paedophiles who coerced underage boys into filming explicit videos.
The vile trio reportedly met on a gay dating app and planned to exploit impoverished youngsters from broken families in Nakhon Pathom and nearby areas.
They would allegedly take the boys to a resort for sex, dressing them up in school uniforms before filming their sexual activities.
Cops arrested Achirawat, 31, Suttichet, 37, and Phongphol, 19, in Nakhon Pathom amid a crackdown on child pornography in Thailand. They are facing a raft of charges including human trafficking and sexual exploitation of minors.
Under Thai law, those found guilty of importing, producing, or distributing pornography for commercial purposes may face a sentence of up to three years, a fine of up to 60,000 baht (1,376 GBP), or both.
While possession of child pornography may be punished with up to five years in prison, a fine of up to 100,000 baht (2,293 GBP), or both.
Under Section 287(1) of Thailand's Criminal Code, adults more than 18 years old who appear in pornography for trade, import, production, or distribution may face up to three years in prison, a fine of up to 60,000 baht (1,840 USD), or both.
They may also be charged for violating Section 14(4) of the Computer Crime Act for 'importing obscene data into a computer system accessible to the general public'. The offence carries a penalty of up to five years in prison, a fine of up to 100,000 baht (3,000 USD), or both.
