This is the shocking moment a loose wheel was spotted rolling along a road in China.

Bodycam footage shows the tyre speeding across the busy highway in Shandong province on May 26.

Upon seeing this, a passing motorist stopped his vehicle, and his pillion rider quickly stepped out to stop the rubber.

The man, wearing a red jacket and helmet, can be seen using his foot to halt the wheel before grabbing it with both hands.

The tyre's owner, whose white hatchback appeared to have broken down in the road aisle, ran towards the man to retrieve it.

He was then seen rolling it back towards his vehicle by hand.

No injuries were reported from the incident.

Authorities are urging drivers to regularly maintain their vehicles and remain vigilant to prevent similar incidents.
