Vandenberg Space Force Base, United States - May 27, 2025 SpaceX launched Starlink satellites into a polar orbit for the first time since 2023 during a Monday morning flight. The mission, named Starlink 17-1, sent 24 broadband internet satellites into low Earth orbit at a 97-degree inclination. Liftoff occurred at 9:57 a.m. PDT from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg. The Falcon 9 booster used for the launch, tail number 1082, completed its 13th flight. This booster previously flew missions including NROL-145, USSF-62, OneWeb Launch 20, and nine other Starlink batches. Just over eight minutes after liftoff, booster B1082 landed on the droneship “Of Course I Still Love You.” This marked the 132nd landing on this vessel and the 452nd booster landing overall.
