Police have launched a search for thieves who stole a model cow named Betsy from a car park in Australia.

CCTV footage shows two burglars exiting a vehicle wearing dark clothing and inspecting the fiberglass cow at a farming business in Truganina, Melbourne, on April 28.

The driver remained behind the wheel while the pair lifted the life-size red and white statue into a trailer. They then quickly left the scene, driving along Schembri Drive.

Reports estimate the value of the fiberglass bovine at approximately USD 3,500.

Police are calling for public assistance in the investigation.
