Los Angeles, United States - May 27, 2025 05/27/2025 03:10 pm GMT-0700 GLENDALE, Calif. – Fire crews responded to a second-alarm vegetation fire in Brand Park in Glendale Tuesday afternoon, successfully stopping its progress before it could threaten nearby structures. The blaze was first reported around 3:10 p.m., prompting an immediate response from firefighting units and aerial support. Helicopters and ground crews coordinated efforts to suppress the flames, which initially covered about half an acre and were burning downhill against the wind. By 4:02 p.m., incident command confirmed that forward progress had been halted at approximately three-quarters of an acre. Fortunately, no injuries or structural damage were reported. Crews remained on scene for mop-up operations to ensure no flare-ups occurred, as weather conditions continued to be warm and dry.
