A pickup truck spun out of control and slammed into a barrier while driving along a wet road.

Dashcam footage shows the driver's perspective as the vehicle suddenly swerved while cruising along slick concrete in Phitsanulok, Thailand.

The travellers were on the right lane while it lightly rained when the motorist lost traction, sending the truck spinning and crashing on the left side.

The car was sent to a grassy roadside where there were bushes, causing it to stop, and smoke emerged from the engine.

No one was seriously hurt, and the Ban Pa Highway Police Station officers arrived at the scene.

Driver Surashet Hernfa said: 'The crash happened due to rain, which made the road slippery.'

The red truck had a wrecked bumper and was carried on the back of a lorry to a repair garage on May 21.

The Philippines and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are at the start of their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms. The rudimentary infrastructure often struggles with the deluge, leading to widespread flash floods.
