VARIOUS OF BODY OF DECEASED PALESTINIAN CHILD GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - MAY 28: The Israeli army targeted children once again in an attack on Gaza’s northern Shujaiya neighborhood. At least one child was killed, and several others were injured when their home was struck in the attack. The deceased child was transferred to the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, where initial medical intervention was provided to the wounded. The Israeli army, rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing more than 54,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
