A flat-chested Vietnamese influencer once hailed as a champion for body positivity has angered her fans by getting breast implants.

Clara Dao, 26, rose to online fame for her humorous videos poking fun at her petite figure and non-existent bust.

She said she was bullied as a teenager but found self-love and acceptance from her new supporters, as her posts resonated with other young women with body insecurities.

However, the Toronto-based vlogger, is now facing a severe backlash over her fuller bosom. Clara admitted to fans that she had undergone surgery and ditched body positivity 'to have more fun'.

The once flat-chested YouTuber was seen flaunting her newly augmented mammaries in tight dresses with a plunging neckline.

Furious critics claimed the boob job was a 'betrayal' and a rejection of her past values on which she had built her brand for years. They claim she has succumbed to stereoytpes of beauty.

In a YouTube video titled 'The reason I changed...', Clara said: 'Everyone changes because everyone grows. As I grow older, I had different interests. Now, I want to talk about makeup and beauty and shift away from my body positivity - not that I'm never going to make body positivity content anymore because it's still something I believe in.

'I love the message, but for me, I think body positivity doesn't have to be boxed into oh, if you love yourself, then just be happy with yourself and don't change anything.'

In a separate TikTok video of her 'saying goodbye to the body positivity community', she wrote: 'Yes, I was the face of flat chest confidence. Yes, I made 900+ videos telling girls they should love their body no matter what. And I meant every word. But just because I built a platform on body positivity doesn't mean I want to make the same content forever.

'I have grown. Body positivity is no longer my only interest. I wanted more. More creativity. More fun.'

Clara still continues making social media videos, but her subject has shifted towards life with her Canadian boyfriend after her surgery.
