Escaped pig recaptured using lasso and bulldozer in Wisconsin
An escaped pig was recaptured in Wisconsin using a lasso and a bulldozer.
The runaway hog reportedly fled from a local farm and caused a stir in a quiet subdivision in the Town of Wayne on Saturday morning, May 24.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office said they received a call at 7:32 am about an animal on the loose.
Deputies arrived to find the creature running freely, with a farmer struggling to corral it.
After a brief chase, one deputy successfully lassoed the pig, only for it to break free again and dive into a ditch.
Amusing footage shows emergency responders tugging on the rope to reel in the cheeky farm animal.
With the help of a construction vehicle equipped with a large shovel, deputies and the farmer managed to haul the pig out of the watercourse.
Authorities said: 'Eventually, after what we can only describe as 'strategic negotiations', the pig was returned home and put in a more secure pen.'
