Watching a rhino from up close in a national park isn’t always a thrilling adventure—it can turn into a terrifying ordeal.

Tourists on a jeep safari in the Salbari range of Assam's Manas National Park had a close brush with danger on May 28, when a peeved one-horned rhinoceros charged at their vehicle.

Video filmed by one of the tourists shows the rhino aggressively approaching and attempting to overturn the safari jeep multiple times, sending panic through the group.

The animal even tried to chase down the tourists after the vehicle stopped, but fortunately, it failed to cause any injuries. Moments later, two men are seen bravely scaring the rhino away.

Forest officials have acknowledged the incident and said steps are being taken to avoid such encounters in the future.

Miraculously, all tourists returned unharmed from the heart-stopping experience.
