KHAN YOUNIS, GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - MAY 30, 2025: Israel's military operations in the blockaded Gaza Strip continued Friday, May 30, as the region’s humanitarian crisis worsened. A charitable organization distributed hot meals to displaced Palestinians living in tents in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis. Large crowds formed as hundreds, including children, gathered to receive food. The distribution led to overcrowding, highlighting the growing needs of the displaced population. The effort came amid widespread shortages of food, water, electricity and medical supplies, as access to humanitarian aid remains limited under the ongoing blockade. Israel has kept Gaza crossings closed to food, medical, and humanitarian aid since March 2, deepening an already severe humanitarian crisis in the enclave, according to government, human rights, and international reports. The Israeli army, rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing over 54,200 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
