NORFOLK, Va. — Families reunited with their loved ones as the “Seahawks” of Airborne Command & Control Squadron (VAW) 126 returned to Naval Station Norfolk on Friday.

The squadron, part of Carrier Air Wing 1, had been deployed aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) for eight months. Their mission spanned the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operation, contributing to global maritime security and regional cooperation.

The return marked a joyful close to the deployment, as service members were welcomed home with heartfelt embraces and celebration.
